A Little bit of NEW ZEALAND Farming History

200 YEARS AGO THIS WEEK THE FIRST PLOUGH WAS USED IN NEW ZEALAND
On the 3rd May 1820 the simple plough was used for the first time in New Zealand to break ground for wheat in the Bay of Islands.
This new thinking in agriculture revolutionised the way the local people turned the soil and has been brought right through to today.
